Best Book on Utah History Awards

On Monday, January 8, 2024 the University of Utah Press attended an awards presentation with the Utah Historical Society and the Board of State History. We were pleased to accept the finalist award for Andrew Gulliford and his book Bears Ears: Landscape of Refuge and Resistance (2022). Amy Tanner Thiriot attended to accept the 2024 Juanita Brooks Best Book in Utah History Award from the Utah Historical Society for her book Slavery in Zion: A Documentary and Genealogical History of Black Lives and Black Servitude in Utah Territory, 1847 – 1862.
